Fun Agility

We also host fun agility sessions several times throughout the year, which are open to both members and non-members.

These events are not competitive and we do not train you/your dog in agility – our agility days are intended to be a fun day out for you and your dog.  We have a wide range of agility equipment to suit dogs of all sizes and have Trainers and Committee Members there on the day to guide you through if this is new to you or your dog.

age

Please be aware that our Club supports the Kennel Club view that dogs should not start training on equipment until they are at least a year old.  Our advice is that your dog should stick to smaller jumps, tunnels etc until its bones are fully formed.

Indoor Agility

We hold sessions in Burnbrae Equestrian Centre, Chryston, G69 9HR, in a secure indoor environment from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Dates will be announced in our news section.

Feel free to arrive at any time and leave when you wish to. Please be aware that it can be particularly busy at the start of the session and you may need to queue for a short time but you will get a chance to run your dog several times. It does tend to quieten down after 11:00. If you’re able to help with setting up or packing away, we’d greatly appreciate it—many hands make light work! It tends to be busier at the start, but after 11:00 AM, the session usually quiets down.

Costs:

  • £9.00 per dog for non-members

  • £13.oo for 2 dogs from same household

  • £7.00 per dog for members (those who train with us on Thursday evening

Please complete the registration form and, if possible, pay by bank transfer in advance. As a non-profit club, all of our helpers are volunteers who give up their time so we can all enjoy the sessions. We have to cover costs like facility hire, trailer transport, and equipment maintenance, so paying in advance helps us ensure we have enough attendees to cover these expenses. If there isn't enough interest, we may have to cancel the session.

Outdoor Agility

We sometimes bring our Agility equipment to local gala days or host outdoor sessions. Check our News section for information on upcoming events.
