Get Involved

We are a non-profit dog training club dedicated to promoting responsible dog ownership and enhancing the bond between dogs and their families. There are numerous ways for you to get involved and support our mission, whether on a regular or occasional basis. Here’s how you can help:

1. Setting Up/Putting Away Equipment

Help us set up and take down equipment at our training sessions and agility events. Many hands make light work, and all assistance is always appreciated!

2. Social Media

Are you a social media enthusiast? Help us showcase our activities by taking photos and creating engaging posts to share with our community.

3. Website Support

We are working on building a new website, and we'd love your help keeping it up to date! This could involve regular maintenance or contributing new content.

4. Coordinate Volunteers

Help us organise help events and volunteers to ensure everything runs smoothly.

5. Fundraising

We work hard to keep our training affordable for all, but running costs like venue hire and equipment are ongoing. Your efforts in fundraising throughout the year will help us keep membership fees as low as possible.

We are always in need of donations! You can contribute prizes for raffles, equipment, or other items that will help us support our members and programs.

7. Attend Local Events/Gala Days

Join us at local events and help us raise awareness of our club! You can assist by helping set up, handing out leaflets, selling raffle or tombola tickets, and interacting with the public.

8. Display/Demonstration Team

Pre-COVID, we had a popular display team that performed at local shows and gala days, showcasing our obedience training. We'd love to bring this back, and we need your help to make it happen!

9. Painting/Equipment Maintenance

If you have a knack for painting or woodworking, we could use your skills to maintain and improve our agility equipment. Any help is greatly appreciated!

10. School Visits

We love visiting local schools to educate children about dog safety and responsible pet care. If you have a suitable dog and a few hours to spare, consider joining us for school visits or to help children who are nervous around dogs.

11. Leaflet Distribution/Design

Help design or distribute our promotional leaflets to spread the word about KDDTC and what we offer to the community.

12. Sponsorship

If you or your business are interested, you can sponsor a dog and handler for one of our training sessions between August and November or January to May. Your sponsorship helps support our program and provides a valuable resource for our members.

No matter how much time you can offer, every little bit helps! We truly appreciate the support of our members and the community. Reach out to us today to find out how you can get involved and make a difference!
